COVID-19 – Updated 26th November 2020

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement, Northumberland has now moved into Tier 3 restricted area. As such from Wednesday, December 2, weddings and civil partnerships will be allowed to take place with a restriction on the number of attendees. 15 people can attend a ceremony, however wedding receptions are not permitted.

We also advise that you contact your venue about how these changes may affect your ceremony
 
Funerals are also allowed with 30 people permitted to attend, 15 people can attend linked commemorative events. Linked ceremonial events such as stone settings and ash scatterings can also continue with up to 15 people in attendance. If you have any queries regarding funerals, please contact Bereavement Services at blyth.crematorium@northumberland.gov.uk.
 
Anyone working is not counted in the 15 or 30. Social distancing should be maintained between people who do not live together or share a support bubble.
